My adventure with digital nomadism began in March 2021. I had been confined to Prague at home for a good few months, working remotely. My friends and I tried to spend this time as best we could – we went on long hikes every weekend and these were precious moments for me. Everything changed when the government banned movement between cities. We are bogged down for good! Then, like a bolt from the blue, a message from a friend of mine in Prague fell on me – she was going to leave with her husband for Tenerife to work remotely. I couldn’t believe it, it sounded like a dream. Being already there, she wrote me not to think long and buy a ticket. Without thinking long, I searched for airline connections and pressed the “Buy” button. A wave of endorphins washed over me, but as soon as it subsided, I realized what I had done. This was to be my first solo trip to a place I had never been before. I had to get out of my comfort zone, I had to let go of the limitations I had created in my head for many years. But guess what? It paid off. It was one of the best decisions I could have made in my life and one of the most beautiful adventures I have ever had. In addition to many cool activities, I met a lot of great people who made this adventure unforgettable.
